Krishna Temple Hampi
Krishna Temple Hampi is situated on the Hampi – Kamalapuram route. It is 320 feet long and 200 feet wide. Built by King Krishnadeva Raya in 1523 in memory of his Triumph in the war against Gajapatiraya , the temple is protected by a fort. The inscriptions inside the temple record that an idol of Bala krishna was placed here by the king during his Orissa caimpaign (Udayagiri). Now the idol is placed in the museum in Chennai (Madras).
